i just replaced the caps on my ecu, but it looks like its too late for her... car wont start (starts and dies immediatly), and when i took out the ecu to look at the new caps,... i noticed that the guy just clipped the old cap and soildered on the new one because it looks like you cant get those little stubs off cuz it leaked so much... but also, could it be that the middle cap and that barrel like thing above it are soildered together on the two closest wires... i can take pics if needed...

If there was a problem , just replacing the caps won't fix it. Most of the time the board needs to be repaired. Its not a difficult process, just needs to be done right.

im pretty sure its not the fuel....i get a check engine light, but i a) dont know how to check it on my new datalogger, and b) stop receiving info from the ecu when it goes bad... i hear a click, then the datalogger wont read anything, and the engine seizes, then another and everything is back.. but that stopped happening, now it just dies immediatly after startup..clicking sound is coming from the ecu, i had a passanger confirm it..

as for fixing my ecu, who is good that could do that for me, and how much would it cost?
