ecm link, first ride out of engine install, please help with idle and anything else.

ok so i just got done completely building up my 1990 talon. my mods list is current. i have a 90 body, 92 engine, tranny, and ecu. these are main things you need to know i think

ecm full
3.5 inch gm maf, with maf cable to ecm link. no translator.
2.3 stroker
hx40
1250 pte inj.
base fuel pressure on my afpr reads 37
SMIM

i just would like you guys that know how to use ecm link well to check my log out and my settings and see if they are ok or if i should make some changes. i have not touched any rpms sliders for fuel adjustment or anything like that. i also know i never broke about 67 percent throttle as i want to make sure something bad isnt going to happen because of a bad/ wrong tune set-up.

i hit 2 counts of knock max but would like 0. my wideband is not logged sorry. but it read 10.8 to 11.2 range ish at my maxed logged throttle position. cruising is about 14.4 to 15.2 ish range. gas in car is about 8 months old. i want to burn up that gas before filling car up with good 93 octane.

any advice on changes i can make would be great.

couple things too is my idle surges pretty bad. i have boost leak tested with smoke machine and it turned up no leaks from turbo to intake manifold. so im not sure if there is anythign in ecm link that can be used to help that out. you can see in logs when im idling it idles pretty high and surges.

please take a look at my deadtimes or whatever else can be tuned to help it. my AFR at idle is PEGGED LEAN. dont know how to fix that. thats ###### part of the problem im guessing. when i first start the car it idles great and will idle for an hour being perfect. the second you put into gear and drive it it will idle surge for however long i drive it for. any help is appreciated!

the biggest problem your going to run into i can see without looking at the log specifically, is getting the maf dialed in. the gm maf can be wildly inaccurate until dialed in.

the ecmlink wiki will be your best friend as far as getting the idle and the gm maf dialed in correctly.
 
I'd ditch the gm maf and go straight to speed density. My buddy is running a similar setup and he had a bit of a headache at first, got it to run but still not as good as it did with his new speed density setup.
