Eclipse to Talon Conversion Questions

Well its just the bumps of the talon bumper molded over the eclipse bumper. The reverse lights were completely removed/cut out. I havent decided what type of reverse lenses to incorperate yet. Was thinking along the lines of molding in lenses from a newer make car or none at all. This project was started because i really dont like the talon lights and most of all its just not another stock bumper that you see everyday. As for the seamless part, well it just kinda happened and removing the rear bumper would be a PITA, i dont forsee taking it off anytime soon.

How about you do 3kgt style reverse lights? Like put them in the center taillight.

Right now mine is a 167000 mile bone stock 7 bolt. No rebuild or anything redone that I am aware of. I even have the T-25 that came from factory . Only things I have done are the free mods (BCS restrictor removal, bottom half of stock airbox removal, bigger opening behind SMIC, and basic maintenance) And my ebay catback 3" exhaust with a 3" catless downpipe (don't know the brand) I had those things done took out the rear seats and put 14"s on the front running 13.5 psi and launching around 4k rpms. But now she won't be running on the track for awhile. Turbo is going out on me started white smoking a little bit the other day. Guess its about time to drop in my 8000 mile engine and turbo i picked up last month

Yep, that's really all I had done at the time. Oh, I had the 1G CAS and Pot Mod too. Probably a few other things.

So, it will be interesting the see my gains next time around.

Before all of this, I took the car to the track with the T-25 with MASSIVE shaft play. Like, I was smoking like a mofo. Car was slow as hell. I ran like mid 10's or something. I don't remember. Maybe it was low 10's. I remember I picked up over a second when I went back with the 14B. I still ran quicker times than the 3kgt's and Colbalt SS's.

Update time!!! I got a heck of a deal on some tan leather! The driver's seat needs to be redone but other than that its in pretty great shape! So Corey I'm getting closer to you each day

2ga Eclipse to 2ga Talon has anyone ever did a mod that keeps 2g eclipse fog lights???
I looked through tons of 2ga Talon pics and they either have a huge FMIC or they kept there fogs.
I love my eclipse fogs, but I kno u gotta remove them For the 98 talon bumper.

Its Christmas!!! You guys know what that means? I got parts...
I got an intake, a short shifter, and hard intercooler piping. Since I've last posted I've decided to do a small build with this car. I have purchased FIC 650cc injectors and have started gathering money for a wideband and for Link. I also already have an EPROM in the car so I'm pretty excited about that. Anyway install pics will be up later in the week. Merry Christmas everyone!

Now that I have done a few things next purchases are paint (of course ) DSMlink v3 a wideband and a boost controller. Should be making around 300 horses and be painted sometime this Spring. Shes gettin' there!!

Hey guys! I did some more work to the car yesterday/today. I took out my old nasty falling down headliner and redid it. I installed my MBC and new oild pressure gauge. Purchased a tubular manifold and new injectors seals for my FIC 650s. And now All I am waiting on is to get my tax return and she'll finally get painted! (and DSMlink and maybe be lowered ) I'll post some pics!

Haha thanks Corey! The headliner was pretty simple to do and only cost about $30 for materials. Too bad I have to spend tomorrow searching for a boost leak. If I can get my GS-T to sell I'll be purchasing link. If not, then I'll just have to wait until my tax return comes in. Then I'll be getting paint and some coliovers.

And I just realized I have duplicates of pictures. My copying and pasting skills suck these days .

1/8 mile. My closest 1/4 mile track is 3 hours away compared to the 45 mins for my 1/8 mile so I've just been sticking with it. And I'm going to paint it white with the trademark black top like "real" Talons have. Also painting the emblems red or thinking about doing black with a red outline not 100% sure yet.

I priced out everything for lowering the car yesterday from extreme psi and I'm looking at $600 for the kyb agx struts and megan racing lowering springs (2" drop). So once my return comes in I'll have this car just about 100% finished.

Before the track closed for the season and I hadn't done any mods besides my bcs restrictor removal and my exhaust. I ran a 9.63. That was running 14"s on the front, a bad trans, and the back seats removed. I was really happy it did that. I have a video from the night in an earlier post. I ran like a 9.7 that run and was racing my buddy's sr20 swapped 200sx that things been gutted like a fish too .
