(Sorry for my stupid comment - it was uncalled for since it meant nothing to the topic. My apologies)

I like the way how the rear bumper cover is sculptured around the lic plate area - pretty slick looking. Keep up the good work - couldn't do that myself.

Good work man. Haven't looked at the thread in a while. You are running about the same times I was. I was running 9.3's in the 1/8. Since then though, I have done a BSE, 1G head, 1G intake manifold, and a load of other stuff.

Keep up the good work!

What mods did you have running 9.30s? That way I know how I measure up LOL.

Hey guys! I did a few small things tonight.

First up I got a black driver's side airbag yesterday!

Here is the old gray one installed

Also a few weeks ago my mounting points for my window/lock switch broke off and they fell in the door :banghead: So I took a piece of my old gray door panel that had black inserts to fix that issue.

No more switches falling in my door! ROFL
Working on getting money together to get paint now. She's getting closer and closer each day!

Ive been pretty good. Crazy busy with school and work. I haven't done a damn thing with the car since it is 240 miles away now. But I may be getting a 92 Laser RS from a neighbor pretty soon.

OMG the old gang is back together! ;p

Good job josh! The grey air bag looked ugly as hell!!! LOL

@ Corey why a 92 Laser? beside the fact the year 92 was an amazing year! ;D

Also for other guys who posted pictures good jobs guys, the Bumper Talon Eclipse Conversion looks so different! But I would enjoy seeing a finished progress! :dsm:

Looking forward to many more pictures / updates.

Lol. It doesn't take much. When I last ran (9.3), all I had done was the following:

14B
Rebuilt 7 bolt
FMIC
Hacked up hard pipes (with boost leaks)
Walbro 255 fuel pump with NO SAFC
MBC running 18psi
1G BOV
Open downpipe
K&N Filter
NGK Plugs and Wires

I had so many boost leaks. Once I boosted anything over 15psi for more than a couple seconds, the car would fall on its face. So when I ran these times, I had to feather the throttle all the way down the track to keep it from doing this.

Now, the same thing happens but the only boost leak I have no is at the FIAV Block-off plate.

Here is a video of me racing. This pass, I ran a 9.6 I believe. Later on in the night, I ran the 9.3. In this vid, I run against a 2012 WRX. I got the jump, his AWD caught and passed me, then I ended up passing him at the line and running a faster MPH.

When my friend (camera guy) says "he missed a gear", that's when the boost leak thing happened.

And btw, I no longer have a miscolored Talon :p

You had all those mods? What are these mods you speak of ROFL
Right now mine is a 167000 mile bone stock 7 bolt. No rebuild or anything redone that I am aware of. I even have the T-25 that came from factory LOL. Only things I have done are the free mods (BCS restrictor removal, bottom half of stock airbox removal, bigger opening behind SMIC, and basic maintenance) And my ebay catback 3" exhaust with a 3" catless downpipe (don't know the brand) I had those things done took out the rear seats and put 14"s on the front running 13.5 psi and launching around 4k rpms. But now she won't be running on the track for awhile. Turbo is going out on me  started white smoking a little bit the other day. Guess its about time to drop in my 8000 mile engine and turbo i picked up last month :hellyeah:

Car looks good btw :)

Crazy busy with school and work.

Dude I hear ya big time. I only remember what sleep was like LOL And heck yea dude go get another! Too bad the Talon is so far from you :( I wanted to see the twisties mounted on there

Just because that is what my neighbor happens to have. He only want's $300 for it. It's an RS N/T though.

I have the twisties with me actually. I am going to paint them at school. Hopefully sometime soon.:thumb:

OMG Really? Yay! :D You gonna paint em black with red lettering? ROFL

Damn josh that sucks! The positive thing is you had a backup waiting for it to go out! YEAH BUDDY!!! :dsm:

Corey that's an awesome buy, Obviously there is going to be some problems on the RS, but anything really major?

Josh can you post a picture of the front of your Talon?

For some reason I have been thinking of doing a Talon Swap. Possibly the front bumper and rear... I have seen like 8 front bumpers at the junkyard and theyre in good condition, just need to be cleaned up and paint the front Talon Badge read with my Black eclipse :p

As far as I can tell right now, the injectors are clogged. I'm going to do a compression test and all of that happy stuff to make sure everything is sound before doing anything.

Finally gettin a chance to work on the rear bumper again. Progress is going good. Just needs minor work and shes ready for paint.

I think I'm the only one on this whole forum who favors eclipses over talons. I can appreciate the work you put into it but I can't say I think it looks better.

I own a talon and as much as I tried to love it and give it time to grow on me I just couldn't learn to love it. I was going to convert it to an eclipse but I've decided to just sell it so someone else can enjoy it for what it is. Not everyday you find one with 72k miles and bonestock.

Regardless of my opinion, the car looks very clean so keep up the good work.

Yes its a seamless bumper. I welcome any opinion, people can hate it but i love it! :D:thumb:

Can you explain what you did? I could be wrong, but did you use a 2gb bumper and just cover the rear lights area? So that when you go reverse just the brake lights turn on?

Explain your bumper purpose please! :dsm:

Or was it just for the look?

I'm not going to lie, I didn't forsee that rear bumper project turning out well. But you proved me wrong. Awesome job! The only thing I would have done differently was not doing the seemeless thing. You'll regret it if that bumper ever has to come off.

Well its just the bumps of the talon bumper molded over the eclipse bumper. The reverse lights were completely removed/cut out. I havent decided what type of reverse lenses to incorperate yet. Was thinking along the lines of molding in lenses from a newer make car or none at all. This project was started because i really dont like the talon lights and most of all its just not another stock bumper that you see everyday. As for the seamless part, well it just kinda happened and removing the rear bumper would be a PITA, i dont forsee taking it off anytime soon.

Thanks for the reply. I get what you did now. Yeah since you went through all of that effort. I don't think it would be wise to put reverse lights on. Looks to clean with out the reverse lights!
