My dad Chuck T. of HARDCORE HOTRODS of Rome, N.Y. wants to know if anyone has successfully completed this swap? I wanna see their pics as proof. Cause he in my opinion after researching the internet day and night he seems to be the first to do it. So if you know or have seen anyone who has done it i wanna see pics and date of swap. You can contact me personally through email. ok so here are my pics.

Well, you found that out. I hope you don't think I was 'beating you down'. I was the foremost to say that you should continue with the project. I was simply stating that it has already been done and gave the opinion that it's good to see someone try something not normal. . . Though I reserve the thought that this is not cost effective nor efficient. But that's not why you did this, nor the reason why you started this thread.

Sorry, it's been done before. Again, this doesn't really negate the fact that you did this from ground up basically; no borrowing ideas, since you didn't know of another who has done it. . .

No, you may have approached the whole situation wrong:(
If you did a DETAILED Build thread with pics, exact swap tips and then how much the swap cost you and then not insisted on being the first and bragging of mechanic ability, things may have went another direction

+++1 for that.
Dude makes me laugh at how set he is that he is an amazing mechanic and can do an engine swap. Yeah its cool that he did the actual swap so others will know that 'it can be done' but the way he is going on about his shop and expertise is a little imature. If people look at his posts they will see that he mentioned his dad doing the swap and having the shop. And agian going on and on that he has mechanical skills, hell 95% of the people on here have mechanical skills. For instance I work on helicopters for a living and make damn good money doing it, yet you dont hear me braging that I am a better mechanic since i turn wrenches on a car and then on helicopters that cost more than peoples houses.

All i can say to the guy is man if you want respect for doing something think about what others have said about makeing a tech post and going through the whole process of the build with tips and how-to's. It would be a whole lot more useful than you coming on here making an ass of yourself saying every one is putting you down when not every one is. Also lose the EGO you dont need it here. take what people say here as advise or you will be just like mr. Smiley :banghead:

Get some vids up of the car running. It would be cool to see a step by step right up on how this car was put together. I bet after it's in you won't be able to squeez a penny in that engine bay ;)

Well, i can tell you that i wanted to be the first to do it. No, no one has EVER done a awd tt swap. They have put a 6g72 into 1g's but no luck with the awd. This just destoyed my day =(

Ive been witnessing this swap first hand. The OP is a good friend of mine. He has several 4g63 dsms, and in my area, its been done.

He knows the 4g63 is very capable. However, the 6g72 can be as well. Its easy to build a fast 4g63 powered DSM.

Lets try to keep this thread on track and try not to ruin it. This is a work in progress, and there will be more progress on the build as well as more pics to come. :thumb:

From what i've read, I don't think this was intended to be a "build" thread. Maybe a "brag" thread
I have yet to hear ONE technical detail on performing this swap.

I would LOVE to see this in a detailed build-up. Then I think it would be good for the community and give us all another option. The other thread was on a 2g and Twicks69 had a great post with tranny info. This is a 1g, so its still different.

no sorry i just looked it was on craigslist a few months back there was a vid to ill try to find it

YOU DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT TO ADVERTISE YOUR ABILITY.I HAD HOPED TO GET JOBS BUILDING DSMs. BEING THE FIRST MEANS; YOU WON THE DRAG RACE of LIFE WHERE IS THOSE PICS WITH A DATE of BUILD 3.0L TT AWD 1G 2G AWD CALL YOUR FRIENDS I WAS SMART ENOUGH TO TAKE PICS AND POST THEM. WHERE IS THE OTHER GUYS PICS AND PROOF OF DATE

05goldfish This Is Not A Gto 3000gt Tt Motor It Is A 2.0 Or 2.5 Galant Vr4 Motor The Vedio Should Have Ben Taken From The Side To Show Awd Tire Spin Nice Car Poor Vedio Look Foreward To See More On This Car

Why don't you show us some more pics of your setup instead of worrying so much about his?
From your pics, I don't even see any mounts in there, i'd like to see some pics of how you did that, as well as the exhaust etc.
Do you have any vids of your car driving?
Btw, the vid that has been posted was released on June 20th 2008, whichever DOHC V6TT is in there
YOU have the ability to turn this thread in another direction by posting pics, giving techical advice of the swap, etc.

That "vedio" shows a 6g72. The 2.0 Galant VR4 was a 4g63.

I was totally serious about the spelling and punctuation stuff. You'll notice this thread is a little lighter on posts now.

I HAD HOPED TO GET JOBS BUILDING DSMs. BEING THE FIRST MEANS; YOU WON THE DRAG RACE of LIFE

You say you're here trying to get jobs building DSM's? No one here is going to want a 6g72 powered DSM. They're all going to want 4g63 powered ones. And so far, you haven't been able to advertise your ability to do that yet. In fact, all we have is a blurry picture of a 6g72 being lowered into a DSM shell. Want a pic of a Viper engine being lowered into a DSM shell? I can get you one of those. How about a SBC 350 motor? Get your car running and post YOUR videos. Stop asking for other people to prove that you're the "first one" to do it, when obviously you're not.
