talon eclipse swap

I bought a set of tail lights from guy that lives bye me stock 99 eclipse ones i have a 95 talon is the bulbs and everything the same because i don't have the bulbs or anything and if i do need new wires/bulbs can any one tell me were to get them and for the back up lights are thos the same also ?? little stumped i got the front down but i don't want to do the back till i know what to do thanks.

i think you have to replace the rear bumper as well

go to advanced auto and search for the bulbs on a 95 talon write down the part number, then do the same search but for a 99 eclipse and if the part numbers are the same then everything is interchangeable. goodluck, im gonna be doing the same swap on my 96 soon as well

You definitely need an eclipse rear bumper as well, the 2G Talon tail lights are much taller than the ones off of the Eclipse. You'll need to look into getting reverse lights as well.

You have to change bumpers to a 97-99 eclipse version and lengthen the reverse light wires(I believe).


Its a pain to search from my phone but I am pretty sure that there is a writeup about this in the tech section and a few hundred threads created already.

As stated you will need the eclipse rear bumper, and you will have to wire in the reverse lights. The plug for the lights is the same and will plug right in, but the car side has 2 extra wires for the reverse lights. You will also have to cut and reweld the center bumper mount bracket in a different location.
