WRX running 20lbs of boost? I really hope thats not the stock turbo and he was running some racegas cause he's just asking for trouble running that kind of boost on a POS stock turbo. He might want to check his compression in his number 3 cylinder if he is really running that much boost on a stock turbo, cause he might be doing some major damage to his engine. Good kill btw.

yeah, you're right, with the stock fuel system and that much boost, the piston and rings in the 3rd cylinder are now joined at the hip

well i ran into that guy in the rx-7 and called him out again because he ran his mouth of saying that he let me win. making stupid comments about how he was running on 1 turbo....so another race is set up for next week...any advice as to any simple upgrades that can be done to the eclipse?

yeah, buy an awd so he dosnt rip you to pieces like his car should this weekend....

haha yeah....that was pretty funny
do me a favor next time you want to make a smart remark save it

how was that a smart ass remark? 16 PSI on an FD should walk past a FWD unless youve got some INSANE mods. all thoes parts on a 13B should be close to 12s territory

i just wanted to say that MY FWD doesn't spin all the way until 3rd gear. Only problem I have is in 1st and i just don't floor it in first, but 2nd through 5th i get no spin at all so the guy who said "Any modded 16g won't get traction until 3rd" is nutz. I have Intake, Big16g, hard IC piping all the way throttle body, 1g bov, 3 inch catback, ported o2 housing, Spec clutch, short shifter, 16 psi, Accel 8mm wires, ngk plugs, 17"rims with Nankang 225/45 tires. I dunno, i consider my car a slighty modded 16g and i have no traction problems after 1st. and i race a wrx all the time and i win every time so I don't doubt she coulda beat it, and hey if the driver aint that good in the rx7 then i don't doubt her beatin them also.

I know the wrx could have probably took me out by more but he didnt take of as hard as he could have and if you dont know the wrx could be running 20 psi and by the time he redlines he looses a shit load of boost just like the stock second generation t25 turbo. Since the wrx looses boost and it weighs more my top end was faster than his.

the td04 holds boost all the way till redlin....ive seen it. its actually not that hard to believe if you had a big16g on there. i would say bs if it was stock turbo

My cousins WRX can't hold 15.5psi till redline, it drops off fast just like the t-25 (god I cant wait to get rid of mine). His mods are:
Perrin uppipe
AEM intake
HKS SSQV
Hallman MBC
HKS catback
3inch bellmouth downpipe (forgot which one)
Boost @ 15.5psi

I used to have a laser rs-t FWD with a 16G, front mount, full exhaust, external wastegate, and a bunch of other mods. My friend has an 3rd Gen rx-7 with exhaust intake upgraded ecu and was running 15 psi (so was I) and he would tear me up everytime. Since i would spin off the line and he would stick the wheels to the cement and take off. But once we got going I could catch him top speed. I wouldnt say im the best driver by I could handle my car. I'd say you never beat a 3rd Gen rx-7.
