Hey all I recently started working for Chevy/Subaru Dealer in San Diego and one of the guys who works there has an extra WRX turbo and BOV and intercooler that hes selling super cheap so im wondering is there anyway to make any of these work without an assload of trouble?

Edit*** just to make it clear cause there has been confusion in the past, this is on an AWD TURBO 1995 2g Eagle Talon not a 1gtalon as my name might indicate.

1)BOV will work, but you wil need a flange and it is no better than a DSM 1g=too much work
2)turbo exaust flanges are different, so it would require a different manni or and adapter plate
turbo is clocked differently
turbo is a t-25, same thing you have=f-it

SO I guess no?!

Crappy  I might see how good of a deal I can get on the BOV because im still using stock 2g , any idea on the intercooler? I know its top mount and all.

The turbo off the us non sti versions of the wrx is not the t25 or the 14b. The cfm rate is between the two. When my roomate bought his we looked up exactly which turbo it was. Something in my mind is telling me td04 but I don't recall for certain, should be simple as googling for the answer.

You could make either of them work, although it would be a bit of work to get the turbo attached.

Neither of them is an upgrade, or at least a worthwile one. Don't worry about it.

Where does he say that it is? He says that it is the turbo off a WRX, I woud think that if it was from an STi he would have specified.

Now, consider this. Even if it is the turbo off an STi, is it going to be work the extra effort to make it work on his car? Probably not! The twin scroll housing is not beneficial unless the manifold is designed to work with it, and such a manifold does not exist for the 4G63 right now. Using that turbo would require the fabrication of an entire manifold, as well as the adaptation of all necessary feed lines, and exhaust and intake piping.

No. It's not worth it.

in japan the sti is still a 2.0 in accordinance with rally regulations. They are using a kick ass twin scroll and shops are selling them for pretty cheap. Might be able to find em on ebay. What are the hang up's with the evo viii twin scroll, do you know? What is making it so impossible to hook them up to a dsm?

Yeah, I new it was a tdo4h, I have just had t-25 on the brain latey. I've installed turbos on 2 WRX's (a VF-30 and a FP-Green) and let me tell you, the stock turbo's are JUNK, they are (or seem) smaller than the t-25, especially the tiny exaust wheel.
Twin scrools are odd, but sweet. if you can find a pic of the turbine outlet, im sure it would cook your noodle, it is weird lookin!

The wrx turbo is not the same turbo found on the japanese sti. Japanese sti is a 2.0 liter with 300hp

You mean, besides the fact that they spin the opposite direction of a "regular" turbo?

Can someone explain how if the shaft is rotating clockwise instead of counter clockwise, how it would not work when splaed on the end of any exause manifold? If it makes boost, it sould work no? I dont understand why the reverse rotation is a hangup here, maybe their is somthing I dont know............
