are ebay turbo kits any good? its not for my dsm its for my buddys 240sx he wanted to know if they were worth the money and if there were any good

They work just fine for 500 miles or so..Then they blow..So no, you better off investing in a real turbo, or turbo kit..

This might get deabted but for every 100 ebay turbo's probably 1% are good..I just blew one up myself..So I know there crap..

are anything in the kits good like the intercooler/bov/wastegate ect ect

Intercooler and wastegate could be good.On the intercooler there might be a little bab work involved but if it's cheap enought why not..The ebay bov's are crap, and will probably leak..Other than that the intercooler should be alright..

Intercoolers and piping kits are fine from eBay. Id stray away from the turbo, they don't tend to last.

Wow...use the search button...stay away from ebay turbos and stuff...average rebuild is what $175..PM jusmx141....he does good rebuilds at a good price...you can get a used holset for $150-300 and they are tuff as hell

buy the kit...throw away the turbo...and buy a used holset

I thought about buying a turbo kit fromm ebay, but I also found the cheaper more durrable route for my 420 would best be either from another 420 or used.

I dont know much about turbos but from what google has been telling me, you could get any t3/t4 turbo from another car as long as it mounts up to your manifold, and if it doesnt you can always build your own manifold for not so much $$$ as well good luck!

had a friend with a 240sx ka that purchase one.. the turbo blew 5 mins after start up.

I know a chick that put a garret turbo on her miata..Blew the turbo on startup..Can anyone tell me what she did wrong withought anymore info?

she bought a blown turbo! haha

she either didn't prime it or had a restriction in the oil feed causing oil starvation.

are ebay turbo kits any good?

Nope

are anything in the kits good like the intercooler/bov/wastegate ect ect

Nope. You can get intercooler kits sometimes. But generelly they are either universal that need to be fitted, have the pipes cut, and beads run, or are just very low quality.

Rule of thumb on ebay parts is only purchase name brand stuff, or, only purchase stuff that doesn't do any moving, or cleaning.

Intercooler, Radiator (sometimes) Exhaust, Intakes (Replace filter with good name brand), are generally okay.

Stay away from engine internals, turbos, bovs, wastegates, slim fans, suspension, etc

I've seen multiple 'bad' ebay turbos and I have also seen multiple 'decent' ones. I know of one in fact that has over 15000 on it and is still running strong. It's just basically luck of the draw when it comes to these 'budget' turbos.

I just bought, installed and tested a Ebay exhaust manifold with downpipe. Took alittle bit of "light" modification but I'm loving em.

If the intercooler kits on ebay are good.... what about oil cooling kits as well as radiator hoses and finally electrical wiring?
