what yall think of this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-0-...ryZ33617QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

the seller states it is completely remanufactured... i am just wondering if the valves and springs they using are complete junk and all..... cause 250 bucks for a rebuilt head,... i dont think i could manage that just getting machine work alone around here...
it looks good but im not liking ebay LOL, and i think ill be needing another head soon.....

ask if they are OEM Mitsu parts used for the rebuilt.
My friend had problems with some valves seals bought from ebay...he saved $20 on the seals and spent $200 to do the job again.
Hope this helps.

Just got off the phone with these guys, they say they using factory Mitsu valves and springs, and the valve stem seal's come from US Seal Co.

I would ask around and see who has had experience with them and their rebuilt heads. They do claim to have a 1-year warranty, so that's a good sign. Just be careful.

I just put one on. Top quality, and they even pay for return shipping of the core!!!:thumb:

I am glad someone has had good results with this head because I have been debating on whether or not I would try it out myself. It will certainly make it a lot cheaper than getting it done around here. I had one shop quote me $750 to rebuild my head.

They have great feedback and have been on ebay for 7 yrs. When my tb went, i was in a hard spot and pressed for time. All the local junk yards wanted 350-400 for a USED head...LOL...yeah right. And i don't trust any of the redneck machine shops around here to touch my car. I figured i would give em a shot. Was very happy.

Only thing you need to watch for, is little metal shavings. I noticed 2 or 3 in the bag it was in, so I blew it out with compressed air to make sure there wasn't any in the head. There wasn't, but just had to be sure.

Hey tom I just purchased the head from this company and havent heard from them in 2 days. Were they the sameway when you purchased yours? How was there communication and how long did it take for you to recieve it ? Snaffer would you be able to post a phone number, id really appreciate it, I gotta give them a call and see if they got the ball rolling.

Damn there only open mon-thur? Ive never heard of that before. Did you pick up one of there heads? Hows the quality? lemme know.

I had my head in three days. They shipped it out the day after i ordered it. Give em a call, and see whats up.

The head will be here thursday...Il take some pics of it most likely.

Well got the head on, there are a few misprints on the ads that wasnt correctly mentioned....7 valve cover bolts were stripped, they were not helicoiled and the head came w/no studs (pain to take em all off the stock head). So far shes not pushing coolant on the 4 layer mitsu head gasket.....you cant expect "great" work for such a little price, but by all means if your looking for a cheaper solution...its worth it for what you get. I will be calling them and addressing the situation w/them on monday morning.

time to bring back the dead.... I've been looking at this guy's heads and all the machine equipment looks top notch. Anybody else ever bought from this guy? I don't know of any reputable shops around here that aren't asking $500 for a rebuild. Mainly because of the off season racing work they are doing. Im really skeptical about the price. I'm looking at the $269 with just valves and springs, but I'm replacing springs with BCs. Think I should bite the bullet and pay the extra for quality work or see how this turns out? I don't want poor quality because the motor is going to see its fair share of abuse. But I can't stand the thought of paying that much for a rebuild.

You must be shopping at some expensive machine shops. I paid $500 (and I even thought that was on the high side) for mill, hot tank, remove and replace, install bc springs, new keepers, bronze valve guides, 5 angle valve job. I supplied the valve train, valve seals, and oem keepers.

Thats a pretty good laundry list, but yeah I have very limited options around here
