So after almost 2 years one gave up....

Last night after class I noticed my bulb went out even though I had changed them last January with Sylvania Silver Star, so today I go and check what's up and found this..

The bulb is in perfect shape with some minor brown spots in the connector but still works, however the wiring is fried.

splice in another harness and check to make sure no fuses blew

Fuses checked out ok, first thing I checked.
I already ordered a new set, the clear was starting to peel..can't complain with $80 shipped for a pair.

Were you using the stock harness for the bulb?

No, the set comes with one.

The connectors tend to go bad after about 13 years (a little sarcasm), At least it didn't short out and cause an electrical fire!

The same thing happend to me last friday night, i just wiggled the harness and it worked again .

Hey I just bought a new set of those a few days ago and just got them 2 days ago . Hmm what most likely those silverstars caused the connector to burn out cus they tend to run abit hotter than your basic headlight. Its easy to replace that connector.

By the way I do think those ebay headlight are some of the best bang for your buck . They don't really look as cheap as you would think they are for something that cost 80.

Looks wise , they look waay better than any yellowed out stock ones ofcourse . But the light output at night is Horrible, and it gets worse with a "hid" kit. The light is all over the place even if you try adjusting the headlight it wont do nothing. But for 40 bucks a piece, not bad. it looks good during the day cause they make the car look like new again.

Check all the wiring back to fuse

I checked the fuse and it was fine..

Dsmtun3r: The old set my girl got them for me, I'm not sure of the seller.
I think their photo was the headlights over a red fabric or something.

Cant beat it for the price. My harness did the same thing because I had aftermarket headlights. Since you have the wiring harness, your good to go.

I was thinking about replacing mine but was not sure if I wanted to go with the ebay ones. I would much rather pay the 80. Plus they really good for being ebay.
