ebay headlights, are they worth it?

I have them on my car, they may leak after a while because they aren't sealed units like OEM ones. I sealed mine as soon as I got them.
Do you remember what exactly you used to seal them? Just about anything water-resistant should work I guess.

I'm picturing you smearing it around the seam where the lens meets the body, but maybe you took the lens off?

Someone says vinyl protectant for the lens. That doesn't seem proper nor that it would last long. But I also planned to use some kind of sealer on the lens so hopefully the coating doesn't peel. I was thinking some kind of plastic sealant - like the stuff that comes with the expensive headlight restorer kit. It's supposed to be permanent but realistically, it probably only lasts a few years. UV is just nasty. Even still, with the restorer kit at $17, you'd still come out much cheaper than OEM.

Let me know what you guys think, please.

I got mine for 87$ shipped. They are great, projector style housings for low beams. They are actually dot approved and are a lot better quality than most of the ebay lights I've seen. You can can get really shitty ones , or good ones. I was trying to find another pair on there like mine for a friend, cheapest I could find was 139$ bid with 40$ shipping.

Sometimes the sellers get careless when putting the bid and you can get em for really cheap.
