I was checking this out tonight. Is it the same as an ACT 2100? It says 30% more holding power than stock and it's like $275. It also says it is for turbo dsm's.

Bringing this post up from the dead, but can you use the XTD stage 3 clutch disc with the stock flywheel?
Just resurface the flywheel, get it stepped correctly and your good to go. You can also subsitute the stocc flywheel for an aftermarket brandA buddy of mine has been using XTD clutches for the past few years and even held up better than an ACT 2600 on his track car. The disks are sintered iron which make them pretty bad ass.
thank you. do you know if this stage 4 xtd clutch would fit with my tranny and motor??? because it says laser and stuff like that. could u take a seven bolt clutch and put it on the six bolt??? do there trannys have the same splines? eBay Motors: XTD® STAGE 4 RACING CLUTCH -ECLIPSE /TALON /LASER TURBO (item 170224153875 end time Jun-08-08 15:17:43 PDT)
I've been using the xtd stage 4 clutch since aug '07 without broblems. From what I know all 4g63 clutches interchange (90-99 fwd/awd). Spline counts are the same. The only differences are in the flywheels (6/7bolt and fwd/awd). Only thing I can say against my xtd clutch is the throwout bearing has a little noise until vehicle is warmed up, and it's metal. I would recomend buying the o.e. throwout bearing if you don't want the rattle. Good luck, hope this helps.
