EASIEST way to find 30* ATDC

I've read a ton of posts i got back from the search but nothing to answer this. Is there a piece or part on near the crank pulley that you can line it's notch up with to get ~30* ATDC for a boost leak test?

I'm wanting to do another one ( i'm hearing a leak from inside the car) But i can't find my little laminated degree wheel i made to stick to the stock damper for degreeing and such. So before i go nuts looking for this thing, is there an easy way to get 30* atdc?

Could you figure out how many teeth on the camgear you would have to move for it to be at 30 deg?
Like setting TDC and paint pen the second tooth? No idea but its good thinking right?
I know you could figure out the outside diameter of the crank pully/belt and mark how far the belt moved from a set point

You could always just plug the air supply up and slowly turn the crank.


edit, then again, there are degree marks on the pully already, measure those out to 30*

Each tooth on the cam gears is roughly 7 degrees.

Grab a round, clear plastic Sterling protractor from Wal*Mart, hit the back with white spray paint, and tape it onto the harmonic balancer. Use a piece of coat hanger for a pointer.

It's not a critical measurement, just eyeball it. Worst case the boost test leaks and you have to turn the crank some more. I never intended people to use a protractor to measure it.
