Why would a dsm be in the game? Its a 205 bhp beast i know but its old and no one besides the dsm crowd or the f&f fans would ever drive it.
What other cars in the high 100 low 200 bhp are in the game?

@nek: it's not that it should be in a game, it's that they could have chosen a diff car (a minivan or something)

RX8~ 210hp

Those are the closest I could find. But that still doesn't excuse the game. If Forza 3 can put in 400 cars or something like that, so could NFS. But now that i think about it, the Hot Pursuit line was always more high end luxury cars anyway. Even back on the computer on. The Underground series is more oriented to the Tuner seen.

You know what's funny? VW recently made a commercial where they used a 2G and destroyed it and no one got upset (we all kind of liked it actually). The "un-pimp ze auto" ad with the Swedish guy from 'Big Lebowski'.

Why didn't the Need for Speed ppl use something universally regarded as lame? Like a Geo Metro. Or a car that has an amazing track record that no one can deny? If they used a Supra or a 300ZX, it would've been obvious that they were just kidding.

At least the VW ad was done tastefully. The NFS one is just nasty and tries to be mean.

We didn't bash on the VW one because it was actually kinda funny and it is other manufacturers jobs to be competitive and take shots. And because deep down we all want to smash the ricers out there that make us look bad. That DSM probably had NOS and a spoon engine in it, so it had it coming. hahaha.

EA is in the business of attracting customers, not repelling them.

That may be true...

but, the majority of ad people do not know such things. Plus it would've pissed off the grand am people; or even GM people.

Regardless, they probably should've picked a car with a smaller following, but without knowing the specifics, like how much time they had to shoot the spot, location time, ect.. heck, it even will could've been someone on the crew's car. Rarely do these productions EVER go as planned.

Don't get me wrong, I don't like it, but not going to let it ruin my day. Hell, it might help us regain a "sleeper" status.

I downloaded the demo last week and it sucked, I'll admit I'm a NFS fan too. I didn't buy the game because the demo doesn't seem like its worth my $60 but now I'm just pissed, commercial or not I think we should make a video of two people at GAMESTOP trying to decide between NFS and GT:5 when it comes out.

I understand your point and We can modify how we are gather people for the petition. I am not trying cause anyone any problems. We just want the petition to be as valid as possible. We can modify the information so that no one is in danger of being scammed.
