i've just found a e85 station about 15 min from my house and i want to go and fill up my tank because its about .50 cents cheaper regular unleaded but i've heard that on some cars your need a special set-up (fuel pump, injectors) in order to run e85.

Is that true or can a completely stock (besides for an intake and exhaust) 1991 laser rs N/T run on a full tank e85 safely? also what is e85's octane rating ( is it really 105 )? and will e85 give lower gas mileage compared to 87 unleaded?

any answers will be greatly appreciated.

don't run e85 on your car stock

the reason you upgrade your system(fuel pump, injectors, tuning) is because e85 burns at a much higher rate then regular gas so you need your fuel system to compensate for how quickely the new fuel is burning

yes e85 will give you worse gas milage becaue it is buring at a higher rate then regular gas
e85 does have a lot of pluses that out way those negitives however.
Research e85 a little and you'll see that it more then worth it to convert

Again DO NOT run e85 on your stock car
(i don't know the octane off hand)
