couldnt find another forum that i thought this would go in so im posting here. im gonna be upgrading to dsmlink soon and found a e-prom ecu but its from an auto can and mine is a 5 speed the part number is md165531 and has E-932 on it.will an auto ecu work or do i have to have a 5 speed one?
thank you

The difference between auto and manual ECUs from what I understand is slightly different fuel maps and default injector size. FWD and AWD ECUs are also different. The difference between FWD and AWD is the 120MPH speed limiter which they will remove if it's from a FWD DSM. But other than that all E-PROM ECUs are the same and will work fine.

Check out the DSMLink forums at www.dsmlink.com/forums and they have information there for you. You'll make a user name when you buy DSMLink or you can make one now and read the forums.

Hope this helps.

I believe you are wrong. 1g Cars dont have a governor no matter what. That was only the 2g.
