E-Brake light is on and blower isn't working.

Just started to happen one cold day when I went out to start my car. It turned over just fine but when i put down the e-brake the light stayed on. Then I tried to turn on my heater and it wouldn't blow. I just replaced the altenator because of the common regulator problem that causes all the dash lights to come on but with this one the brake light is just always on at full brightness. Another unusual thing is that it will go out if i drive the car till its warm, shut it off, and restart it. Anyone have any idea what the problem is?

check your brake fluid. your brake light will stay on if its low. and if its low you may wanna check your lines, pads, and rotors. if all is well in your brake system you may have a short in your ebrake connectors wire.

Check the simple things first. Fuses, senors, etc. I would take out the center console and see if the button for the e-brake is getting pushed on or releasing.

Hey thanks guys. I checked the fuses and relays, all the wiring, and brake fluid seems alright but I'll go pick some up anyways. Any ideas about the blower fans? Its cold around here!

Blower motor might be out. In the winter time try not to use your e-brake. What's happening is your brake pads are heating up when you drive and freezing to the rotors when you stop and apply the e-brake. Hence why they free up after some driving around. Don't know if there is a blower motor fuse but if there is check that first.
