Delivering pizzas last night to the college dorms, two girls and two guys sitting outside at a table greeted me and were asking about my car (03 Yellow V6 stang). They wanted to trade and offered me three cars on trade and were just joking around, it was all around funny but I noticed one of the guys sitting there was staring at me with a dead serious look not saying a word. So I delivered the pizza and on my way back he starts asking me questions:
Him: "Manual or automatic?"
Me: "Auto. It's my daily."
Him: "Want me to show you how to drive it?"
Me: "You want to show me how to drive my automatic car?"
Him: "You'd be surprised what I can do"
Oookay.
Me: "Do you race or something?"
Him: "Yeah I used to be a huge street racer."
I'm thinking to myself this is getting funny.
Me: "No.. I meant road courses/auto x or even circle tracks like stocks or mods here in town."
Him: "No I used to street race all the time"

Me, perhaps feeding the troll: "So what did you drive?"
Him: "Oh it was an 04 SRT4, would have blown the pants off your Mustang."
Me: "I would hope so, that's not my fast car for one and for two it's as base as base gets for that year."


After I told him about the GSX he was cooler and less cocky. I just thought it was hilarious how he was acting like some badass or something.

I had a guy ask me if my car was turbocharged. I'm thinking "maybe he knows something" So I say yea it is. And before I can think of something else to say he asks me if I have a regular turbo on it. So I tell him "yup it's the 14b." I'm thinking maybe someone up here knows about more then pickemuptrucks. Then he tells me he had a huge turbo on his and that it was so big the bump in the hood wasn't enough room and he had to cut an open whole there for it to fit and it stuck out the top. Now I could have walked away from the conversation but I hate people like this so I said "wanna see mine". We walked over and I pulled the garage door open and showed him the new motor, and how it went in the car. Then he backtracked and said he must have been thinking of a different car. Rrrriiiight...

Last night cruising there was a kid in a POS MX-3 with a shitty sounding fart can. He's revving the engine under the overpass as I'm driving beside in my VR-4.

"Your car sound like shit."
"yeah, and yours is just a Mitsu so get a real car"
"WTF?" I'm already dumbfounded.
"I probably have less than half in my car than you have in yours."

I was left speechless, like yeah, of course his car is less than half the value of mine; I'm driving a 300+ HP sports car, not a dented and banged up 4 cyl MX-3.

Heard this gem from a "car guy" today.

I'm going to twin turbo my V6 Camaro. Its going to make so much power. Its pretty much like an RB26. Cause they are 3.8 liter V6 like my Camaro.

And then this. Talking about how he took it to the body shop after he hit a deer.
I'm going to have them put the SS hood, bumpers, lights, fenders, turn signals, and fog lights on it. I didn't know there was a difference between all those and V6 body parts except the SS hood has a scoop... Oh and the fenders have SS badges.

ok so hears the deal. i have a 93 eclipse gs non turbo that i blew up. i searched forever for a n/t block for it and never found one that was good so i used a turbo block with my non turbo head and used a turbo intake cam. instead of all the hastle of going turbo with having to get a afc and wideband and then the wiring and ecu would i be ok to throw like a dry 75 shot at the motor without ?tearing anything up?

i had a honda guy tell me that an LSD is bad for drag racing, and if you compare a perfect launch with an open diff to a perfect launch with the same car except LSD instead of an open diff, the open diff will be faster. I learned a V8 can make 4K HP with no super/turbo charger, not even nitrous. Secret is, bore those cylinders out almost paper thin and tune the carburetor like a bauss.

Oh yeah, and a filled block (no coolant) INCREASES HP by itself

Last -but certainly not least, this guy sees it possible to dropping a 350 BB into a Prius.

Good thing I hung out around last call the other night. My hopes for a 4000HP POS Prius were beginning to diminish.
