So my engine gets back friday i think. All mods are current in my profile, i have everything. Now this is the second build. The first go around i must have messed up the bearings and i got knock after a few hundred miles. Took it to a pro this time and had him use acl coated bearings along with a new crank.
The rings seated, as i was getting 181 psi on all 4 exactly before i sent it off. He said the engine is broken in basically.

Well, i ordered a pte 5858 a month ago with the HD internal wg option(18-27).
I dont want to run 25 lbs or higher right out the gate so if i leave the compressor nipple hooked straight to the wg it shouldnt go past 18, correct? I have a mbc but even if i turned it all the way down i would think 18 is the minimum boost ill be seeing. I know this is dumb but im still a probationary member so i figured its excusable:p LOL. Is there anyway to lower it any more?

If you hook up the compressor to the WG it will run wastegate pressure.
The MBC will only let you run as low as the wastegate is set too, your case 18 psi. MBC will however let you run more boost.

TY. thats what i thought. Ill just have to go easy on her. 18psi on a 5858 is going to be a beast though. Machinist said i dont need to break in bearings so i guess ill keep it at 18 for awhile after i get my DA tables lined out real nice. Thanks for the answer.

Im not launching this car. Its a roll on car. A fwd that can actually launch, has too much time and money put into the drivetrain for my taste. I will probably to the awd swap one day, but baby steps for now. Im close to 10k deep. That isnt including paint and new leather/carpet for the interior.
