Ok so I got a short mount intercooler for pretty cheap and it came with all the piping except the one pipe that goes to the actual throttle body so I had to use my stock knitted one. Now my question is, am I losing any power from being on that stock knitted hose? Like would it make a difference if I went out to buy the rest of the hard upper piping? Thanks and sorry for the dumb question

If you can still use the stock knitted pipe then you didn't get a short route kit. That's the long way of routing. A lot of people still use that pipe with no problems. Just make sure it isn't balloning too much during boost. If it were me, I would replace it with the one from DEJON | Powerhouse

Oh really? So if both sides of the piping that come off of my fmic go through one side (kinda where the stock smic was) is it a long fmic?

Also is there anywhere else that sells those "s" pipes? Dejon does have them but shit 100 bucks for a pipe is kinda steep.

^ Nope I am looking for the actual pipe that attaches onto the throttle body. It replaces the stock knitted "S" pipe

It does make a difference, I can tell you from experience. Having all hard piping them coming to a soft elbow like that will make a difference. I bought an aluminum elbow off someone on here for like $37 with a coupler as well. Cut the pipe twice, installed it using some of the stock piping I cut as a coupler as well for a perfect fit. As you can see, it's the silver pipe in between the TB elbow and 1g BOV. It helped to hold higher solid boost.

I do agree though, $90 or $100 is steep. I was searching around for the longest for just the S-pipe, no one wanted to sell it separately from their pipe kit :(

But I made something work.

Are you talking about the throttle body elbow? I'm having trouble understanding what you are saying about connecting the throttle body, thats the only thing I know that connect to the throttle body but it is aluminum.

@ Dejon Powerhouse, they have a S-pipe that connects right to the throttle body. It eliminates your TB elbow (stock) and takes one coupler/ two hose clamps away from the picture ^^^ of rEclipser's piping.

It's way cleaner and I dont think $90 is that bad, when just wastegates these days are crazy ass prices.

Wow, that's nice. I guess I have overlooked my fmic setup and will have to look into that. The piping is most likely bigger than my puny 2g throttle body though.

Lol, It will fit just fine, because you have to say 1g/2g when you order it. Mine works perfect, and I have not gone to a 1G TB or a 75mm yet.

I wouldn't replace it unless you buy an entire kit cause 100 buck is a lot for that pipe. I just ordered mine because i blew a hole in the stock one, this is the second time now. I'll let you know if its worth it
