dumb question about gas tank

i was getting ready to order a new fuel pump for my 92 esi that am putting my 91 tsi motor in. when i entered the 91 in to see if it fits and it saws it doesnt for some reason so besides the fuel pump is the any difference between a 91 tsi and 92 esi gas tank that it wouldnt work?

All 1g fwd tanks are interchangeable turbo or non turbo.

Thats what i was think, i dont know why it was saying it wouldnt work.
