it would run out of breathe really fast... basically it would be like wrx turbo on a sti. you'd have boost at idle probably until about 5.5ish maybe

some 272's would help wouldnt it? I just found a SBR G50 for $300...kinda wanna pull the trigger on it. Read that its in between the E316g and a 20g. Im basically looking for 390-400 and thats it...with a pretty quick spool...I hate trying to decide on turbos...so much work, and research.

Nope not at all buddy... cam's would basically allow the valves stay open longer which in reality your increasing air volume and which that small of a turbo wouldn't be able to even keep up.

Personally I'd stay away from that turbo I heard nothing but bad things about them....If I was your I'd look at something a little bit more well known. I'm getting my TO4B V trim turbo rebuilt by Jusmx141 and I'll trade you for Ecmlink :sneaky:. LOL

Forced Performance Turbochargers: Mitsubishi 20g Turbocharger

Would be a good turbo for you or why not get a holset still man??

yea i figured it wouldn't, LOL trading my link oh no...but dont worry i have an idea. I was looking at the 20g they have...and hmm holset...

Found an AMS GT "850R" BB turbo for $800....Should I buy for Shits and Giggles

yea....no its a 37r equal....don't kno if i should buy it...its a huge turbo....alil big for what I want to do with the galant....

I wouldn't run a turbo that big unless you are going with a 2.3 stroker or something. Even then it might be a bit laggy for DD

Yea I wouldn't as well... unless your running a stroker or nos to spool it up(hint hint) LOL. But my buddy Jasper has a 37r on his Evo and it's really laggy but man once that shit hits GAME OVER!!

yea that turbo was sold yesterday...and hell yea on jaspers evo....his shit is game over...

Glad to here you decided to keep it after all.

Lol I remember seeing that one a while ago I think, I want to get another one thats AWD but my driveway isn't big enough for any more cars unless I get my shop built this summer. Grats on the buy btw Sicotic hope it works well for you. Just don't buy one from Ron in wasilla LOL thats where I got mine, and although I did end up getting it running, that guy really messed it up bad, snapped belts, broken valves on what he claimed was a brand new head, folded over oil rings, and water pump bolts drilled and tapped so deep they drilled a hole into the cylinger wall haha...speaking of which, anyone have any personal reccomendations for a machine shop in the valley for getting the cylinders sleeved? Art at Valley Machine does ok work but I dunno how familiar he is with this stuff.

Who is this Ron guy? Most likely not on here or AKMS...I recommend AC Machine tho...they have done good work on a few of the motors i've seen go thru there. And they will handle my machining when I step up from this E316g thats going on my galant in a few weeks...i was gonna go holset with the 2.3 stroker...but i think a 20g will have what i need to chase cones

Just saw a red 2g with DSMPWR plates on base at the shoppette.....anybody?

I dunno if he's on here or not, he's some guy used to work with my wife at Lowes and lives with his mom in wasilla, he sells the occasional rig outa her yard including my Talon LOL. I know he was trying to sell a white one at one point, an AWD auto TSI if I remember correctly, but yeah, long story that probably is best saved for a different day. AC Machine is in Anchorage right? It sounds kinda familiar LOL. How are their prices also? I need to send my head in to get it machined someday LOL since when I went through and replaced all the valves and guides I ran outa cash and resorted to lapping the heck outa the valves instead of a 3-angle grind, so I don't think it quite seals up as well as it should, but at least it runs for now haha.
