am i supposed to be happy that my home was just ripped away from me? seriously, just imagine if after you were here, and this site and people on it were the reason you have a dsm, let alone the reason you love dsm's so much, an then imagine after a few years luda sold this site to modified, and it was gone.

We all understand where you are comming from this site was down for about two weeks at the end of last year and none of us knew what to do I could only imagine not having a place to go at all. However, you should still give this site a chance. We are all dsmers right?? So why don't we all make the best of this and have 1 big super community. Clowning on one of the only dsm sites left doesn't help the situation. It doesn't bring back talk, and it sure doesn't help the relationship betweent he two sites.

Spent $6 on 2 dsmtalk.com stickers, and now what?

I was a Premium dsmtalker (chicago_DSM), and I went on that site everyday for hours...It WAS my home...

I am still thinking about putting up my dsmtalk stickers, but seriously for what now? It's like putting up stickers for DSM.org even tho nothing happens there anymore...

There is a lot about tuners that I like (gallery, classifieds, tuning forum) but I think if this domain wants to gain back a lot of the respect that dsmtalk held, they should start making new forums (kill stories, dsm pix) and start a NEW POSTS button also so you can join in on all the popular threads...

BTW: I own a EAGLE TALON....Why should I care so much about a Mitsubishi forum only, it's like DSM Racism~!

They've sucked up a couple of other forums too. I was looking at what used to be the ToyotaNation forum (which I guess was just as influential to old school Toyota fans as 'Talk was to us.

With all of the problems everyone had with the owner of Talk, this doesnt suprise me.

I kept trying to go on there earlier today and it kept saying "www2.autoforums.com could not be found." So much for that site being better.

I hereby propose the complete and total abandonment of this forum. A complete and total abstinence from anything with the "Modified" name on it. These people killed our community and did so for one reason. Profit!! I say we do as much as we can to ruin their precious dream of using our member names as a means to acquire advertising dollars by completely and utterly ignoring and abstaining from this site. Screw those who thought they knew what was best for us without even asking us first.

I've been a dsmtalk member since 2000, and I've been a reader of Modified Magazine since the beginning. Hell I still have the first issue of Modified in nearly flawless form.

To see that Modified has turned from an enthusiast based magazine in which their first project car was a dsm built in collaboration with Magnus Motorsports into a coporate media whore pisses me off to no end. Their goal I'm sure was to combine as many possible forums as they could under their name bringing with them thousands upon thousands of members and the advertising money that could go along with them.

As I mentioned I've been an avid reader of Modified Magazine (even a subscriber), I have the first issue they ever printed and hung onto it because I liked the path they were taking with their mag, I've even had my car photographed a couple of times in their event coverage, but I will no longer let one single cent of mine go to Modified.

I've been a dsmtuners.com member for nearly as long and as of late we've been working on making the site as good as possible including putting the knowledgeable people on the board in charge. This means that the site is run by our peers and not some media conglomerate just hungry for advertising dollars. Now dsmtuners.com isn't for everyone, and there are local forums out there that could be a good outlet for those of you who feel displaced by this sudden change.

Yup...F*ckers took superhonda...If you look at their forums page, every giant forum that says it has 100,000 + posts means that they took over a major domain...

You are the ultimate jackass. You have done the worst possible thing to the DSM community. I wish upon you a plague beyond biblical proportions. You have destroyed everything DSMTalk was about, not to mention lost the vast collection of tech articles that will never be replaced. The only thing I can think of you could do to deserve to even live, would be to bring DSMTalk back the way it was, and to personally email everybody that has ever been a member with your personal apology.

this is exactly what i was thinking...i didnt post on talk that much but i searched for answers i couldnt find here there.....i still think its ####ed up though..but maybe this will bring us all toghther....

I'm with Mavisky words 100%. I loved Modified Mag. But seeing how they did this, I'm not going to buy one thing that will make them profit.

What I also found kind of interesting is when you type in DSMtalk.com, this shows up:

You know what??? I understand, it seems like anything good or stable in my life has always been ripped right out from under me by someone else and I could do nothing about it. But, coming on ludachris' site that HE pays for and telling everyone including him how much this site sucks??? Why burn bridges??? Lets face it, when the smoke clears most of you guys are going to end up here anyway so lets not start off on the wrong path. Alot of us or most of us have always used both sites anyway, I know that I was a member over there before I came on here. The thing for me though was the constant problems they seemed to have over there with keeping the site up, and then selling it to lord knows who, and then its down, then up, then talk of lost data, etc. The way I always saw it was if I am going to invest in something, then I'm going to invest in something that is consistant, and if any dsm site has been consistant it is dsmtuners. There has never been any major loss of data or shut down on this site, and that is why I chose to invest 80% of my dsm online time here, because I knew my investment was pretty safe. And to me my time is my most valuable investment that exists.

also note that he has a supra " hows tha supra (poo-pra) doin my man?" Ekool from dsmtalk also had a supra.


BTW some people have said that Matt M is Ekool, and from that association Matt M's business has been affected in undeserved negative way. I don't want to hurt Matt M's business anymore; until we get this straightened out.
