yea I noticed, really sucked. tuners and talk combined, you could find all the info needed, of course with the combination of vfaq. I enjoyed more of the freedom of talk, mostly being able to post high res/quality images. I really like to see the detail. Yea im a nerd.

I know one thing that I liked about DSMtalk was the "Kill Stories" and the ability to actually talk about Street R-----, in which is not tolerated on this site. It's gonna be a tsunami of regular DSMtalk users that is going to be flooding over here.

It also sucks that I actually had a little post count over there and now I have next to nothing. Still a newbie anyway.

It will be good to have a signature back though. I hope some of the distinctive difference between the two sites can be added here and we have the best of both world and one big ass community of tightly knit DSM'ers.

I'm gonna miss DSMtalk though...

This is a sad day for DSMtalk for sure. Ive was apart of that for a LONG time(5 1/2 years) and to see it end like this is just horrible. I havent visited DSMtuners much lately but it looks like I will much more now.

Where is WhoaTed, greenstreak and the other mods? I'm certain they are just as pissed and demanding answers. Anyway, I hope DSMtuners doesn't mind us crashing here. We're drunk and we don't have a ride home, our ride abandoned us and our DSMs are all broken. I wish we could salvage the entire DSMTalk database.

but seriously, i'm just numb, i can't take this, my grandfather died last night and now my home is gone? wtf am i supposed to do, 4 years over there, all that info, and now, nothing.

I began my dsm life on the digest then that site in December of 2000, that's about 5 1/2 years over there. Over 3000 posts, and countless friends later it's terribly sad to see a good site die this way. I personally will be refraining from buying any "Modified" merchandise until the site is returned to its original state. If that never happens, I'm ok with that, but those rat bastards will never get my assistance in making that site what it once was or one single cent of mine in their pocket. In fact I hope I run into the asshat that runs Modified at the next SEMA show.

am i supposed to be happy that my home was just ripped away from me? seriously, just imagine if after you were here, and this site and people on it were the reason you have a dsm, let alone the reason you love dsm's so much, an then imagine after a few years luda sold this site to modified, and it was gone.

Maybe we should start a email campaign to modified? A few thousand emails might get them to change their minds. Anybody know what scale of money a forum like this goes for? How many zeros are we talking about? 1K; 10K; 100K?

Also the site comletely dead right now...must be flooded.

They've sucked up a couple of other forums too. I was looking at what used to be the ToyotaNation forum (which I guess was just as influential to old school Toyota fans as 'Talk was to us.

I'm still pissed about this, I'll bet that none of the mods over there had any idea what was going on and were pissed on just like the rest of the users.

The server that site is on is slow as dog shit, you'll have a flood of idiots asking why their car runs like shit now that they disconnected the bov to get that "psssht" sound, you'll have psuedo dsm'ers giving out bad information, you don't have access to the shitload of information that was on the old forum, you'll have toolies running around flaming each other about whether the STI is better than the Evo9....I can't even think anymore. It's Sunday and I'm going back to sleep.

BTW, where the #### is eKool? That punk bi*** has a lot to answer for by destroying an institution like this.
