dsmlink v3llite port failure

I recently bought a dsm with v3lite and I downloaded the software from ecm tuning. The program opens up and has stored data streams from when the previous owner had it. But when I went to use it today all it says is port invalid for all 3 of my usb ports on my laptop. I made sure that the configuration was for a 1g DSM and still nothing. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

click on configuration, make sure you have the right dsmlink system selected, then check the first box and it will automatically scan for new ports.
