dsmlink v3 ???

Does anyone know when dsmlink version 3 will be coming out? I want to get dsmlink, but it may be a while before I get it. so I'm wondering if anyone knows when the new version will be out and what upgrades will it have over the current version?

I sent in a feature request several days ago and was told that it will be in the April time frame.

FYI, The features I inquired about were direct GM MAF support and direct support for Coil on plug with the ability to adjust dwell (like you can with AEM).

I got nearly immediate answer. Currently it looks like GM MAF support will make it. They could add the dwell support but don't feel there will be enough customers using it to justify supporting it.

Honestly, we'll be lucky if we see it in the next 6 months. They've been talking about V3 for over a year now. Each time they say, "Oh, next 6 months or so". It's been pushed back more than I can count. Don't get me wrong, I love Link, but the update time is really bad.

I also asked if they would be adding any kind of COP support (dwell adjustment, etc.) and they said it was not likely. It didn't sound like it would be that hard to add but they didn't feel enough people would use it to justify the additional support??

I asked on one of the dsmtalk board how many people use dsmlink and COP and I didn't get any responses so they may be right.

I was hoping they would add COP support because I plan on running it this season.

Why wouldnt it work with C.O.P ? Dont they just wire in like the factory coils. So it should work, since they work with factory E.C.Us.

It works with COP, I think the previous guy is wanting DSMLINK to adjust the dwell with the COP setup. That would be nice.

Not true. This has been inquired about alot on the forums with no avail. It is being looked into, but very doubtful for V3.

Exactly. The dwell time is what is being talked over. You can wire the COP into you car and run it just fine with DSMLink.

Well that sucks. Seems that it would be very easy to implement. Are you sure? I've read in these as well as other forums that it is likely to have a boost control feature.
