Dsmlink v2 or v3

I just bought another 1g awd talon that has already had some modifications. it has a eprom ecu that was tuned with dsmlink but the guy I got it from didn't know what version it is. How do I find out if its v2 or v3? I need to know if I need a translator or not to run my gm maf.

Open up the ecu and it should say on the chip.

At a quick glimpse, if it's a red double stack chip it will be v3

I pulled the ecu apart and I don't see anything that says dsmlink. The car was running 30psi and there's no tuner on it so I can't think of anything else that would let it run that much boost. Any ideas?

Could be a custom burnt EPROM chip.

Wastegate stuck closed could make it creep up that high
