dsmlink v2 on 1g laser?

I found a dsmlink v2 for a 2g dsm. It is selling for a price I can't pass up. However, I have a 1990 1g dsm. Will this still work? I have the eprom ecu. I guess if it wont work I could always buy it and sell it for more. Then buy the one I need.

Theres a reason its for a 2g dsm

The ECU's are different and the Chips wont match up

no the dsm link v2 that you bought wont work into your 1g dsm. the clips on the harness are diifferent. the 2g has four clipps the 1g has three clips.
