hey what are you guys doing for timing? Do you just watch the knock count and keep increasing the timing till you see knock?
Also, i heard the dsmlink comes preset to what injectors you have, is this just the global fuel trim or something else inside the dsmlink that you cant change?
I want to buy the link from my friend used, but im not sure if it was "set" for the injectors i have.
So what do they mean when they say they calibrate it to your injectors, is it something i can change inside the dsmlink myself?
Also, this global fuel trim that they use to calibrate for injectors, how well does it work? I remember in my previous car with standalone, global fuel trim just meant it took a certain percentage off the WHOLE map, everywhere, everywhere there was fuel, it affected it
Isnt this the same thing as setting all your fuel trims the same on an afc? I thought compensating for injectors was a bit more involved
Also, where is the dsmlink affecting the fuel, its not altering the mafs signal like the safc is it?
And if its not, how do you avoid fuel cut with the dsm link? I know the afc when you trim the fuel back, it effectively also extends the range of your fuel cut/mafs since youre just manipulating the mafs signal
But how do you extend your fuel cut with a dsmlink? I will be runing that t3/04b h3 trim, with 660cc injectors and a 190pump looking for about 300-350whp
