What default Launch RPM default do you guys w/FWD on street tires like for DSMLink?

Also, I'm running a Big 16G, Walboro 255 w/stock injectors. I plan to upgrade injectors before the seasons up, but I don't know to what yet. I was planning to go large to future-proof for a possible future turbo upgrade. Any suggestions on where to set the injector default? Better to run rich than lean if caught w/o link cable??? Any suggestions? Any injector recommends for my set-up & plan appreciated too!

Welcome to Dsmlink. Have you been able to tune your LTFTlow and LTFTmid to 0% (+/-5%) with that 255hp and no AFPR? The injectors you buy should reflect your goals. I am planing on going with 1000cc injectors. You can go as large as 1600cc if you like. The baisic Mathamatice formula is in the owners manual and tuning document. If you dont have them you can download it from the fourms.

In my humble opinion, its alot easyier to learn to use Dsmlink with your stock maf & stock fuel system. Sence you have a 255, I would strongly suggest testing your LTFT and BFP to make sure your running linear pressure. And read as much as you can on the forums..

I haven't purchased the Link yet. This will be my 1st tuning capability. My questions relate to the defaults you need to specify on purchase.

If I were to have the injector default set for my current stock 450cc injectors, would there be any real issues running that default when I upgrade to say 950's?

Or, vice versa, what if I had the default set for 950's, in anticipation of the upgrade...would there be any probs running that on the stock 450's in the meantime?

There really wont be any issues other than if you loose battery, it will default back to what you had it set when you ordered it. Upgrading to any size injectors will simply mean you have to compensate for them by setting you global appropriately. I ordered mine with the upgraded injectors as default because its my daily driver and I drive my car places (two to three hundered miles every now and again) and I dont always carry my laptop with me. In case I loose battery somehwere other than close to where I live, I can at least drive my car back home. I believe thay (DSMLINK) is working on a fix for this since 1G's dont loose settings when they loose their battey. Others will chime in. Goodluck!
