DSMLink and dual stage boost controller

I am going to be running a mild setup with stock boost / 15psi dual stage MBC.

If i tune it to run optimum at 15psi, will it still run well at 9psi(stock lvl)? I.E., will it maintain the same air fuel ratio if i am only at 9psi?

You will be able to drive it but you will want to retune it for wot conditions. All you have to do is load the tune from your laptop.

That's a bummer b/c with stock engine management, i can click my switch in the cockpit while driving and go from 9psi to 15 instantly, without any change in driveability.

So when you tune DSMLink for a certain WOT boost level, it doesnt run well at other WOT boost levels?

Thats not what I meant. You can still run wot with different boost levels but for it to run optimum you will want to retune it. And when you turn the boost up there will be an even greater chance of knock verse the stock ecu. Why? Because with dsmlink you will most likely up the timing.

Sure it will run. However, a tune is based from several factors...temperature, humidity, barometric pressure and yes...boost pressure (to name a few). If you're doing things correctly, you would tune before you ran your track times as the tune would be different from day to day from just weather changes (not much, but if you make a check from your car, well worth it)

While it would be better to tune for the 15PSI and drop THAT tune on 9PSI (you would be a little rich), but it would not be an optimum tune for 9PSI.

It IS really simple to just load another tune from a laptop or PALM.

... you'll be flowing less air at the 9spi. so if you have the lower air flow tables set up correctly you should be fine.
