Dsm won't turn off

So my car came into a new issue today. The car won't turn off when I turn the key counter clockwise untill it's all the way turned. So I have to push the realeas button and the the key the rest of the way before the car turns off. All the electronics shutoff when they should but the car keep running. Any ideas

Does it have a turbo timer?

Nope no turbo timer. Battery is in trunk with kill switch too. Car would turn off while running if I flipped the switch It no longer does.

I ahve heard about/read forums about this, most blame either the Turbo timer or ECU... since you don't have a turbo timer i would guess it's ECU related, HOWEVER this is just what i have heard, dont go buy a new EU or anything... but its a place to start, take it in for testing, or do some searching on google... If anyone reading this can verify the ECU could be behind this please do and shed some light on the problem.
