I have a 94 eagle talon now. I need to update my profile. Just looking to do a quick freshen up on the motor since I found a valve cover bolt sitting on the piston when I took the head off... Thats another story. I buy a used set of evo 8 pistons and rods and swap them in. I go to make sure all is fine and dandy before I put the oil pan in and everything else back on. The engine won't budge. I even undid the crank girdle to make sure that wasn't the case and still not moving. Rod bolts were torqued to 38 ft/lbs as stated in vfaq. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.:hellyeah:

How exactly are you trying to turn the motor? Do you just have the crank pulley on the crank and moving it by hand or are you using the crank pulley bolt with a socket.

Bearings could be a possibility. but a 7 bolt is a 7 bolt? Maybe I should order new bearings. I was just trying to freshen up this motor for the time being to get it on the road and then get second motor to build stronger.

I am using the crank bolt with a ratchet plus a helper bar and its wasn't budging :(

I had two in and I could get it to turn with a good amount of force abut now with all 4, she won't budge.

make sure the rod caps are facing the right way, and on the rod the cap was machined too
