ok, first off i'm still pretty new to dsms. i've had mine for almost a year now,but i've never done any mods, i am just starting to mod it.i haven't done anything much so far. just a centerforce df clutch, a magna flow exhaust (temporary), and a set of 17in wheels, i just started three weeks ago when the clutch went out, now i am trying to figure out what i should know that is different about dsms,because i had a 1990 da integra before this, it has been sitting in the same spot since i got the dsm,i don't even drive it anymore,i know that it's best to recirculate with turbo, but i'm trying to find out other stuff so i won't see my convo pop up in the "something stupid that you've heard a dsmer say" forum. LOL anybody who will provide info will be appreciated
 
@scott90gsx420..what did his car look like? I just moved from Nampa, lived there for 17 years (probably know every eclipse in the valley) thats funny shit! 270hp on a stock turbo TO THE WHEELS haha!

LOl white with a ghetto body kit. And the front bumper looked like he ran over a moose. LOL just moved from hear? lucky you im stuck because of my probation i wish id just stayed in New york haha. Hows Hawaii? Ya he had me fooled LOL.:banghead:
 
Just rebuild your engine so it can take the turbo. Stock internals are only good for 8psi max if your 420a is really well maintained. But like everyone says, for the money you are going to invest in that project, your better off buying a GST or GSX.
 
Hawaiis great! Finding another DSM is almost impossible though, and when it comes time for parts (just blew up my front diff) finding them local is a pain, and shipping is a expensive bi***!
 
sorry bud92gsx... i was just making the point that the 4g63 swap would be difficult and to put it in perspective it would be as easy as a v8 swap. although if I were to do any kind of swap i probably would go for a small v8 swap because it would be different, more power and would smoke most anything out there with a twin turbo/rwd set up (handing you a bucket for vomit :) dont worry though... i wont ever have the money for all that.

Ahh.. I don't know about that ive seen many more videos of our cars eating v8s then vice cersa. So more power i don't think so and for the cost id rather just build my 4g63.. haha as others said im going to go:barf: now.
 
If the dsm 420a is the same as the neon 420a (except for the way they are mounted), the bottom en is good to just about 300hp.

I had a 95 nyg acr neon that I used the srt4 turbo setup on the dohc head.
Max boost for it tho is 7/8#. It is also recommended to use a head spacer to lower the compression ratio.

Good luck with it tho, do your research twice and buy once. I would suggest like everyone else tho to buy a turbo dsm to begin with.
 
I agree that the 4g63 turbo cars built up whoop up on v8's with their heavier bodied cars but im talking a v8 in our car which would only gain the weight of the engine, heavier suspension and rear end/axle but have the tq and power of a twin turbo v8. it wont get thru the corners as well but i think considering the effort of swapping a 4g63 into a n/t and a small v8 i would choose a v8 since it would be simular effort, more uncommon and more tq/power potiental. :p now that should pi$$ some people off LOL im just p'aying devil's advocate here. it wasnt meant to be taken seriously at all.
