I want to run DSM Link in my 97 GSX. My buddy has a 95 GSX, he is going to run a AFC-II. Can we just swap ECU's with no problems. Will there we a problem sense 97-up has CAS sensor and CPS and 95 has only CPS. If so do I need to rewire anything to make it function. Thanks

LOL... I see snowboarder agree's :thumb:

Personally I'd just send it in and let them do that. I am a jet engine mechanic. I know how to solder and De-solder.

But for 30USD I think it is, and a few days turnaround time. Check the site.
It's worth the convenience and assurance to me.

Reason being:
socketpartnumber [ECMTuning - wiki]

they need a very specific style socket. You can see in that link above. So you have to track one down, or special order one depending on where you are.

Also, if you aren't experienced with this, or the person doing the work for you isn't experienced with it, and you/they screw up. The eprom ecu will be trash. So you'll be 175USD or so in the hole for another one.

That being said it's rather simple if you know what you are doing. So, that's decision is really up to you.

Personally, if you were lost already. I'd suggest you just have them do it. They aren't killer expensive. They will do it right guaranteed, and it's a few days turnover time.

Just food for thought :hmm:

Hope that helps! :thumb:
