I’m about to put my new 97 ECU on my 95.
I was just wondering if your need to change the injector wires or sparkplug wires.
Some people were saying you have to play with the injector wires because of the inverted-CAS.

Someone help me out. I don’t want to screw up my new engine!

When I did my 99 to 95 sway it was plug and play. Plug it in and away you go. The inverted CAS isn't an issue but if it is for some unforseen reason your car wouldn't start anyways if the plug wires were wrong.

It should be plug and play if your swapping a turbo ecu for another turbo ecu. Make sure thats the case and that the 97 ecu isnt for a nt.

I think people are reading this wrong. If you're swapping a 97-99 ECU in a 95 car, you'll definitely need to change the plug wires since the CAS on your 95 is inverted. Swap the two outside wires (1 and 4) and then the two inside wires (2 and 3) at the coil pack and she'll start. I'm not positive regarding the injector wires, but the plug wires need to be changed.

Hope that helps,

Andy

Very much. Thank you.
Could I do any damage to the engine if the injectors wires are supposed to be swapped & are not? Or would it just not start?

In light of the fact that we talked about stalling issues in your PM, I would also swap the injector wires to match. It could be stalling simply because it's dumping fuel at the wrong intervals on the wrong cylinders.

Hope that helps and I'm glad the plug swap worked.
