I was wondering if someone could help me out here. I have a 1992 six bolt GSX and I recently pulled off my oil pan while doing a balance shaft elimination. At the bottom of the pan was a little bit of oil and some tiny green dots that appear to be coolant. Could I have leaky head gasket? I've done a compression check and the numbers came out 160, 155, 160, 157. The car doesn't smoke and runs fine. I'm a little confused. Any help would be great, thanks!

hmm, I guess you could double check and look in your coolant for oil. But the compression seems too good for a HG to be blown. You need to add info to your profile too, I dont know what your setup is to see if you may have blown it and such. Also does it lose coolant at all, though if it was eating coolant it would probably smoke, but I guess if only a little, it wouldnt smoke a lot...im stumped

Thanks for the response. I've updated my profile, as you can see the car is completely stock. I bought the car a few months ago with 88,000 miles on it. The car was having idle issues, so I replaced a few things and had the ECU capacitors replaced cause they were leaking. After that the car ran great and passed smog. Now I pulled the motor and am replacing gaskets and the T-belt and BS removal.

There is no coolant in the oil, but like I mentioned just some small dots of coolant in the very bottom of the oil pan. The car doesn't eat coolant either. I did a couple oil changes and no coolant ever showed up then, it's just when I pulled the pan that I noticed the drops.

I'm very confused.

It could have been from a previous owner problem or something like that. Coolant will stay in the pan if not properly cleaned out for some time. The oil will just skate right over it and never really pick it up and carry it out. If you aren't losing any than it isn't an issue. If you were really worried about it you could always start pulling caps off and checking bearings while you have the pan off.
