Dropped a 95motor in my 97 PLEASE HELP

Ok I've searched and Searched using Different "Keywords" and everything.
Took my car to ISC After I dropped my motor in, Cause it would crank but not turn on. The motor is a 95, my ECU and Harness are for a 97. The Cam Angle Sensor is under the cam Gear, Easy and fast way to fix that. 3 Wires same color on both ends So i spliced those. Now ISC wants to charge me 1500$ just to get my car running. He did something with the ignition Module on my Intake. What the hell is there needed to be done to my Car and the way it is wired to get it running like ISC did. cause He undid all the work since I dont have 1500$. I have fuel and Air and awesome compression the problem is wireing. HELP ME out tell me what i need to do to get this bi*** on the road.

Which ECU are you using? The '97? And you already swapped in a different CAS?

Why didn't you just take the intake cam gear off put the 97 on and put the 97 cas back on ?

Check and make sure the 3 3 wire triangle plugs are in the right place.

wires are fine,And I don't Want to do that I don't know how to do that. The mechanic did something else to get it running the CAS isnt the problem its something else, Same 97 ecu and harness. I didnt put the CAS in but he said my splice was working he messed with the ignition module or something

95 and 97 have a different fireing order for injectors. You have to either change the pinouts manually at the ecu harness plug, or if you have dsmlink you can just invert the cas signal.

Ugh Not another threas like this. All you have todo take that cam sensor out of your intake cam gear, and them put your cas back where it was before use your 97 head if still good. Common man i drop a 97 motor on my 95 gsx all i did swap the cam sensor to the front. Do same thing move your cas to its original place.. and theres no need to change your firing order.

You would have to swap the intake cam, or drill the cam out to use the 97-99 sensor.

Okay, I know you aren't installing a 1G CAS, but this thread has pictures that should help you understand how to put your 97 CAS in.

And like bryanwheat said, you need to swap the cams to use it or drill and tap your current intake cam for it to have provisions to run a 97 CAS.

Your stock cam gear doesn't have timing marks? Never heard of such. You might want to check that again. Swapping out cams isnt very difficult actually. Just put everything back the way you removed it.

1 to 2 and 4 to 3, and try to fire it up.

It has to fire up like that.

I had to do this back when I went to a 95 eprom ecu in my 97.

No ididt do any drilling the holes where there already so there was no need to do drilling but check your intake cam and see if it has the hole to mount the cas it should.

Dude, this is the worst advice...dont be a smart ass when you cant even direct him properly.
OP, just read the link posted about a 1g cas in a 2g. Sounds like you shouldnt be messing with the car due to lack of experiance.....

Ok im just going to do the easy stuff first, And I had no experience putting the motor in, But guess what from the information i gathered on this site helped me, So Experience is not the problem here. What the problem is figuring out I need to do to get this car going, Maybe it is just the firing order cause the CAS is reading like its supposed to, the way i did it. and the intake came in the 95 does not have a hole I mean i can stick my pinky in there but no hole with threads in it. I already tried putting my Old CAS on there
I just couldnt put the bolt on
Whice it seems that a 1G CAS doesnt need the bolt that goes through the CAS to attach it to the cam, Correct?

Ok stop while your ahead then if you don't know how to do it read up on it, its a basic timing belt job your best bet is to swap the cam http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/182787-how-change-your-timing-belt.html its a learning experience don't be in such a rush to get it on the road stuff tends to go wrong when you half a$$ it listen to what we have to say we are here to help you but if you won't take our advice don't ask the questions your problem is most likely the plug wires and the injector wires at the ecu its the same idea if you where putting a 1g cas in a 2g like said above

That is why you drill it with a 17/64 Drill bit and tap it with an M8x1.25 tap.

Sounds like isc wants 1500$ to rearrange your plug wires. As stated above don't rush and cut corners, read and do your research. If you get the jay racing tool that presses against the tensioner,(looks like a long bolt 20$) you can zip tie your timing belt to the cam gears to hold timing tdc and swap out the cam to a 97-99, bolt up the 97-99 cas and keep it moving. I had to do it on an evo 3 motor and if your using the 95-96 coils swap the wires from 1-4 2-3 to 2-3 1-4. it should fire right up. That's the correct way but there are ways of inverting the cas signal if you want to cut the harness up.

See he did something with the Wire harness to invert the cas, I will go with the Drilling and tap, That seems much better than messing with the timing, I have tools that hold a drill straight and I can get a tap kit, Thanks yall, and what the normal firing order for a 97 cause that what it is in now I dont have the car yet still at the shop. Will get back monday and do all this. and another thing he told me i need to move my o2 sensor I dont know why and on this 95 there's 2 of them I will put pictures up with it

You are going to drill it in the head? That's a horrible idea. No matter what you do you will get debris in the engine.

Simple If your using a 95 cas the firing order is different. Find the thread about a 95 ecu in a 97 and use that firing order. the car should by means still run though mine did just like crap. Missing and dieing.

Why not avoid all the extra problems and use a 1g green top cas, then just splice the 4 wires like it says in the link posted above for. The 1g cas in 2g. Or if you are really not comfortable just buy the ere 1g in 2g adapter that plugs into all the stock locations should make it alot easier fOr you instead of tapping the cam gear. Just IMO ofcourse good luck in whatever you do.

why not just do a harness an ecu swap an be done with it?
