Drive train prob!!!!!!!!!

I have a 2g gsx, and was driving down the interstate about 90. All the sudden the car started shaking a little like i had a flat tire. i pulled the car over and all the tires were fine. So i put the car back in gear and started to roll. There was a grinding sound from somewhere in the drive train. I had it towed and as they were loading it the back tires were spinning different ways. I unloaded it at home and it drove fine into the back yard where i work on it. Anyone have a good starting point???

Check the transfer case out. Drain the fluid and look for metal shavings in it.

I changed the oil in the rearend, and tranfercase. There was some shavings in bolth of them. On the drain plugs mostly. Didnt find much in the gear oil its self.

How about the Ujoints and carrier bearing in the rear driveshaft. Check for play in that.

I haven't checked the ujoints, and the carrier barrings have a little play in them. Should they not have any play in them at all?
