hey guys
im looking for a size and maker that makes slicks that will fit on factory 93 rx7 (16x8)wheels. ive been looking but cant seem to find one that looks like it will fit.

On those rx7 rims. alot of people run 255-50-16 tires..

It looks soo evil. and will grip like no other.

However with those rims, if you do 255's they will stick out of the fender(s) about 1.5 inches.

This Applies to1G DSM's.

I thought a 9.5" tire wouldnt fit on an 8" wheel. someone please school me on drag slick tire sizes. if i was to use a 26x 9.5-16. in the tire size doesnt 26 mean 26" from bead to bead and 9.5" wide tread.

no the 26, is the radios , the max length. from the part that touches the ground to the part closest to the hood.

9.5 would be from tread to tread (edge to edge)\ contact patch

16 ,is the rim size.

you can fit a 9.5 on "about" a 7.5-11.0 rim with..

There should be no need to start another thread on this subject, as its been discussed alot already. For 16" rims, slick choices are very limited. Manufacturers don't make a slick for a 16" rim, that will work for our typical applications (unless your making BIG power & can run a tall tire). For a 16" rim your limited to Hoosier QTP's. Not a true slick but are bias-ply construction. Search Hoosier, QTP or slicks & you should get all the info you need.

If your looking for drag radials, there are a few options (which have all been discussed as well)
