Last time at the track was December 2019.

Engine was tuned to 320kw @ 23psi on E60. Best run was a 12.41. This was full trim, with spare tyre and sub in the boot on 18" low profile rims at 32psi.

Here's a video of the 12.41 (sorry for the poor quality). I certainly need some more seat time. You can see at the end of the run where it's starting to dump water from a blown headgasket, it blew the lower radiator hose off on the next run.

Here is the damage:

Block surface looks ok but not sure about this bore. I'd rather use another block and start again but don't have a workshop at the moment (I'm doing this in apartment parking building) so will throw it back together and see what happens.

The above turbo was a thrust bearing chinese GT3582 with a Garrett twin scroll .82ar vband turbine housing, obviously it ate some of the head as it was coming apart. I've since had the manifold and turbine housing coated with hypercoat extreme from HP coatings here in New Zealand. Have also swapped out to a Garrett GTX3582r for some quicker spooling goodness.

Shes all back together now. Just have a few bits and pieces I need to put back on. This Covid-19 lockdown is slowing me down though, I need to get some wire to make a loom to make the move to a 1G CAS. (removed the cam sensor that was attached to the stock cam gear)

New goodies:

Stole the link g4+ out of my evo 1 and put the link g4 from this in there. (g4+ has more features / memory etc and also has 4bar map sensor compared to the 3bar)
Brand new GTX3582r
HP coating turbine housing and manifold
Ported head with 1mm oversized intake valves
Crower 280° exhaust cam and 282° intake cam (unknown vendor)
Crower valve springs with titanium retainers
HKS 1.6mm headgasket.
ARP 625 11mm head studs.
HKS adjustable cam gears.

I degreed the cams and checked valve clearance using checking springs and solid lifters.

Block with 1.6mm HKS head gasket. (gasket and bore are 86mm so block is .040" over)

CCing the head and block. Static compression came out at 8.8
