I pulled the fuse for the power locks since I got the car, it was killing my battery in just 3 hours, if I put fuse back in locks make noise when I press unlock but not when I press lock, when I hear the noise nothing happens, was gonna just leave it be but since it' in the garage for the winter what can this be? Thanks in advance chrissy

Can you manually lock the doors by pushing on the door lock? Is it only one side that's bad or both doors? Is there something physically keeping the locks from moving? My old spyder had a similar thing and I ended up needing to replace the driver switch assembly. My current GSX had an issue where the door would open from the inside, but not the outside. So I fixed that, and afterwards, the door lock wouldn't work from the outside. So if the door was locked, I had to open it from the passenger side because the key couldn't unlock it for some reason. Probably needed more adjustment.

We had this happen on our ‘99 Spyder. There was a huge power draw for the driver’s door. It turned out to be a bad door lock solenoid, which is built onto the door latch.
We got the ‘new’ latch from Miller Imports. I replaced it and no more problems.

Is this the actual lock mechanism? What do I look for?

the door lock actuator is part of the door latch assembly.

you probably have a bad Lock Actuator motor or the plastic gear it moves is damaged.

the following picture shows the motor but the gear isn't there anymore so i hylighted the area it should be.
