Oh I got my transmission rebuilt by them, I love it, I went and picked it up from them, they are very knowledgeable and dumb the terms down for us non trans specialist guys.

It was a very affordable transmission. $1400 got me a rebuilt, bead blast, alumiblast, 4 spider, new intermediate shaft, 1st gear, 5th gear, double syncroed second.

I have about 1500 miles on mine and it is great. When I got it put in it shifted right out of the box.

I even got to look at the race car, it is amazing and Alex is working on a Turboed Seadoo.

alex is an awesome guy..he's funny and informative.

they built my trans way under anyone else's prices.

i recommend everyone to them

I drove over two hours to drop off my trans last week at dogbox after i blew it to hell. next They called me up the day to explain to me everything that had broken and to discuss all my options. I was given the opertunity to buy a trans they had there (full dogbox race trans) that would drop right into my car that was the same price as my build and had also told me after they found out that this was my daily driver not to buy it unless i only wanted to put 800 miles on it in a year. Atleast they were honest...after talkin to them, if they would've told me to buy it i most likely would have. But now i'm goin there tomorrow to pick up my trans and put it in my car and i'll let everyone know how it works. As of now, i would suggest dogbox cause they saved me alot of money and fixed quite a bit and reasured me that as a daily driver and a weekend racer, puttin 400 horse through that trans every day should be no problem. Keep in mind i put 50 thousand on my car in a year and i race it too so if this works for me i will start a religion in their honor.

Way to dig up a 2 month old thread to add ZERO information about their transmissions.

The last person to bump the thread after a few weeks was the owner of dogbox trans, the place that's the subject of this thread, you idiot.

Font is too stretched/hard to read

The tranny specs are also significantly different then what Alex told me over the phone

One of my friends has a Dogbox Racing race trans and he loves it. His car is making tons of power (over 600WHP) and the Dogbox Racing trans holds up to it very well. When it is time for me to upgrade trans' I'll definitely give Dogbox a call. :talon:

The address on the contacts page is kinda messed up.

Also tell Alex to write-up an option for a 4 spider with torrington

ok first the text was too small and now its too big? tell me how it shuld look and ill make it happen.

changed some of the text let me know how it looks. fixed the contact page also.:thumb:

Size 14, possibly 16 font. Some of the background pictures are horribly stretched out. I'm guessing that they're not all the same size and you have a set size in the coding (causing stretching). Capitalize the menu items for a more professional look. Try to get rid of set sizes for the flash and allow it to load to whatever resolution the visitor is using instead.

Tell Chris the options are fine, I couldn't read it before. Although I do recall Alex saying something about deburring the stock gears, not actual replacement.

Definetly have him add a 4 spider and torrington upgrade

I also agree that the set size is what is causing the stretched pictures and font.

Not to mention, you want a website thats fairly universal, most customers arent gonna sit there adjusting their monitor until they can read

Thanks for the info. I updated it, check it out and please give me feedback. It is kind of hard to make the text work with every computer with the designer program that I am using. It does not give me many options. I hope you all enjoy it. Thanks.

I will talk to him and see what he wants to do.

Not going to lie, but I think it just sucks in general.

The Flash "extras" are killing me. First of all, I hate sites with Flash intros, especially ones that aren't labeled how to get to the site. I think they're pointless and a waste of time.

The little "extras" on the site are annoying. For example, if you mouse over the phone number at the top all the numbers 'fly' in. And the phone number looks to be clickable, but it isn't.

The services and contact page are annoying as I have to wait for it to spell out the sentence to read what is there.

I'm not digging the moving white vertical lines on each page as it loads.

I don't like how the Products page is set up with the huge font and scrolling (which is not very obvious).

I'm not sure what the little box you have in between the menu items on the left side (can be found by either the tabulation settings or putting your cursor between the first letter of two menu items).

Not a huge fan of the cropped images that look like they should be complete at the top of the Home page. I initially looked for a horizontal scroll bar, but didn't find anything.

The center alignment of text on the Home page makes for some awkwardly short lines.

For some reason, after about 24 seconds (after Home page has fully loaded I think), it kicks you from the Home page to the Products page.

For some reason the white vertical lines are darker on the Contact page where the information is vs. the blank space below it.

Thanks for your input.

Fixed a lot of the things you complained about.

We understand not everyone likes flash, that is why this site is only temporary until we get an html site going. We are in the process of building it so please bear with us. Also please note that not everyone can be pleased, so I am doing my best to make this site as user friendly as possible. Not everything can be fixed on this flash site, for instance, the multipage in the Products section, that is the only clean way that everything can be listed, short of making 4 seperate pages. It can be done, but it will be very time consuming and could take 3-4 days to do that. The pictures I am working on. It is hard to make the pictures look right on everyone's pc with a flash site. I appreciate the input, keep it coming.

I think the site looks really good and is a great change of pace and design. Here's a few things that Snowboarder pointed out that I didn't like either though.

No 'click here' ect. on the flash intro page.

For the Service page maybe add the phone number there also instead of just saying call us. And the flying in letters did get kind of annoying after changing to the page a couple of times.

The Contact page took almost 5 seconds or more to load all the words and I have a pretty quick computer. So again the flying in letters..

For the Product page Stage 3, Evo 3rd and 4th gears are listed but not 1st or 5th?

Besides that I think it looks great. Good job!

Thank you. I fixed all the flying in BS and it now looks more like a html page and loads very quickly too. I will fix the services page, I just put that up there because I have little info to work with. For the products page that is all the info that Alex and Chris gave me, so when I get a chance I will discuss it with them.

Also, if anyone cannot view the updated page, please refresh your browser.

To the OP, have you not thought about getting your trans serviced by the king of all trannies ? Yeah that's right, SHEP...
