Does this ecu look dead/damaged?

just looking for peoples opinions on if this is why my car wont start/run. I changed my spark plugs, wires, coil pack, and power transistor already so I'm now at the ecu, so i uninstalled it and i can see some corrosion. car will turn over and is getting fuel and would maybe start for a second then stumble and die right away, i was driving, came up to a stop sign, then it just died. i thought i ran it out of gas at first, because it just died after driving normally but i put more gas in and it wasn't that. :/ so i checked the spark and wasnt getting spark in cyl 2 and 3 and still am not after all them parts!! heres some pictures of the ecu. :banghead:

Still sounds like a transistor to me. If you are sure it was a good transistor, check the wiring for it. It is still a possibility that your ecm is bad. It looks like a burnt spot on the circuit board, but its hard to tell.

Your ECU is in definite need of repair as it has quite a bit of damage from electrolyte leaking from the caps. It looks like it has already been fixed once by the pic due to the tantalum capacitor that was added . Wait for ECMTuning to get back with you if you don't want to buy a good ECU , and have it professionally repaired and tested.

Acetone will scrub away the corrosion off the momboard, but the caps will definitely have to be replaced.

A repair bill for cap replacement is tons cheaper than a rebuilt ECU ...
