Does powdercoating your header help?

I just got my header in and I was wondering if I should just powdercoat them instead of putting header wrap cause I think they will warp after a while. I don't know if this helps or not but it is just a question becuase to put on header wrap and get them powdercoatedis the same price $50. Thanks for the help

powder coating helps with heat, and looks better, but heat wrap will help out a lot more. I'd do both if I was you

I don't understand, powder coat melts at about 400 degrees and a header gets a lot hotter than that. Ceramic coatings like jet hot can take the heat but not powder coatings unless there is some new stuff I haven't heard about.

had a buddy with a ceramic coated header after 4 years the stuff is finally coming off. if you really really want to do something wrap is the way to go cheaper and last longer just remember its your header not mine
