i have a 96 eclipse gs and i have been working on fixing some things and i noticed lots of plugs with no plugs in them or any where around and my cruise control vacuum line goes up to the plug but there isn't a plug for it on the intake there is already three lines hooked up there and filled the plugs
and i have more things not plugged up and lines capped off
what do i need to look for

Take it to a mechanic see how much things it needs. if I were you I would would sell it

Check to see if the engine VIN and the VIN plate on your dash match up.

and the only thing wrong with the car is the battery light, the cruise control don't work and the last is the idle problem i can't seem to find help on

It appears the VIN and engine code are in the same area. The first picture here is for the VIN; A and B are points that refer to original equipment parts and replacement parts, respectively -- what that means I don't necessarily claim to know.

I am pretty sure they are stickers or not actually VIN plates but engine identification plates that can be crossed with your VIN. I just looked at my buddies, granted at night, and don't see those plates to confirm or deny this.
