Ok so I just bought a used 22 spline trans for my car because I can't afford a rebuild at the moment(spent too much on my new turbo setup..)and the trans has 90k on it and was on a completely stock Talon driven by a old dude and even had a stock clutch in it when it was pulled and the guy said it shifts super smooth but replaced it for a built 93 trans but I've heard all 90 22 spline transmissions grind under hard driving(problem I'm having which is why I got a new tranny) and I'm a little worried about it. I'll be running a ACT2600PP, SouthBend TZ disc, Jacks clutch fork and fulcrum ball, stainless clutch line, poly shifter bushings, OE TOB, new flywheel bolts and the PP and flywheel resurfaced to spec. Anyone else have problems with their 22 spline trans grinding under hard driving even with low miles etc?

. as stated, remember they are 20 years old. it doesnt matter if its been drove a ton or not. its old parts. think for instance, a 78 year old virgin still aint gonna be as good as a 21 year old slut. it just aint gonna work right. as for the dog box...unless its a pure track car, i would go with the 950 dollar rebuild from shep
