Discontinued - Throttle Body Gaskets?

Last week i went down to good old Daytona Mitsubishi to order the throttle body gaskets for my sweet ass DSM, a week later no call from them so i go there and they tell me that they are discontinued. Now i said to myself WTF. Are these guys at the dealership just total incompetent retards or did the suits at mitsu really discontinue this part.

They are on crack WTF . The local Dealership here told Me that there is only 1 balance shaft bearing and it is connected to the shaft. WTF

They are retarded. You can def. still get them. I just got a set a few months ago for my car. If you want me to i can probably get them for you. Just let me know.

A couple years ago i went to the Dodge dealer where I lived( no Mitsu dealers close or internet) to order a turbo water return pipe. They told me out of all the dodge dealers they only had one and it was in Puerto Rico and gave me the number to call but I might have a hard time understanding them because they dont speak very good english. WTF! I took the part number to Mitsu and got one the next day.

yea right. Anyway just picked up a set of those TB gaskets from Machv. Im gonna go #### up those parts guys at Daytona Mitsubishi. or maybe ill wait till i get my gaskets from machv and then take them there and bi*** slap the guy in the face with them.

The gaskets are indeed discontinued. The good news is, other part numbers are the same or similar.
Mitsu only has to supply parts for 10 years....

went to the stealership earlier this week to order the throttle body gasket (outer) and the parts guy told me that some of our cars never came with them and would work with out it. I said "why wouldn't they come with it" and he replied "Oh they don't need them." I stood there until they found it in the computer, and it took them about a half hour. (they found it real fast after I got the Hans manual to prove to them that there was a gasket.) They are a bunch of knuckle heads

Im glad im not loosin my mind here cause i was at the dealer yesterday and his exact words were that they are not available for order. this shit sucks where am I gonna get all those dealer parts when im ready to do a complete body up restoration on a dsm.

There are many different places to get this stuff other than the dealer. Alot of different companies make gaskets for our cars.

Exactly, my local O'reilly's gets them for me for about a buck a piece Fel-Pro isnt exactly garbage either.

fel-pro sucks imo. Had 400 miles on there hg. 10 psi and the freaking thing blew. How ###, put a mls in there and no problems since.

Anybody thats boostin should have known that a felpro wouldnt cut it as far as headgaskets go anyway. OEM is MLS and they blow all the time, so never downgrade always upgrade use Cometic Gaskets. anyway ya live and learn.

got the throttle body gaskets from my mitsu dealer for my 1990 just a couple of months ago... let me find the date.... june first... for a 1990 eagle talon, from the mitsu dealer,.... 10 years my ass... even the 1994 was older than 10 years back then and they still had it...

That's because your dealer has already substituted the part numbers. Someone on the ball, will know about stuff like this.
