My 91 talon has a function my 90 never had. When you start the car the doors automatically lock. Sounds like a safety feature but I hate it. I locked myself out twice. Is there a fuse i can pull to stop this or another way to disable it? Its a silly problem but locking yourself out sucks.
Thanks

yeah when you start the car it locks the door even before you move. I had planned on taking out the alarm system maybe its a function of that and not something that came stock.

Sounds like the ignition sense wire is hooked up on an aftermarket alarm/keyless. do the doors lock when started only, or if you turn the key to ON w/o actually starting?

Usually on aftermarket systems the wire is ~14 gauge and yellow. if you unhook the wire or remove the main fuses for the system it will disable the lock function.

Yes this is a feature of the alarm for sure, if you can find a wiring diagram for the alarm the vehicle has you can disable solely that feature and keep the alarm if you want it
